Today is October 31. While many people are celebrating Halloween, we celebrate the birthday of our beloved Claudio! He taught us everything about the traditional balsamic vinegar and his story is the story of Acetaia Villa Bianca. Let’s start from the beginning: Claudio was born in Spilamberto, the balsamico home town. After attending classical studies he got a degree in Chemistry and taught this subject for 30 years.

He started taking an interest in balsamic vinegar since his childhood, when he enjoyed helping in pressing grapes and boiling must.

Il suo interesse per l’aceto balsamico risale alla fanciullezza quando aiutava nella pigiatura dell’uva e nella cottura del mosto.

In 1976 he attended a graphology course held in Urbino University where he met Irene, the love of his life, with whom he had Emilio and Aurora.

Nel 1976 ha frequentato il corso di laurea in scienze grafologiche all’università di Urbino dove ha incontrato Irene, l’amore della sua vita con cui ha avuto due figli: Emilio e Aurora.

He was at the head of Consorzio Produttori Aceto Tradizionale di Modena (Traditional Balsamic Vinegar from Modena Producers’ Consortium) from 1990 to 2003, obtaining the “Protected Designation of Origin”.
